हिंदू धर्म में प्रत्येक माह शुक्ल पक्ष और कृष्ण पक्ष में दो एकादशी व्रत आते हैं. सभी एकादशी व्रत का अपना एक विशेष महत्व होता है. कहते हैं कि एकादशी का व्रत रखने से व्यक्ति को
शारीरिक और मानसिक कष्टों से मुक्ति मिलती है.वैशाख माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी को वरुथिनी एकादशी कहा जाता है और इस साल यह 16 अप्रैल 2023, को पड़ रही है. एकादशी के दिन भगवान विष्णु और भगवान श्री कृष्ण का पूजन किया जाता है. पूजा के दिन व्रत कथा अवश्य पढ़नी चाहिए.
In Hinduism, there are two Ekadashi fasts every month in Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. All Ekadashi fasts have their own special significance. It is said that fasting on Ekadashi frees a person from physical and mental troubles. Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month is called Varuthini Ekadashi and this year it is falling on 16 April 2023. Lord Vishnu and Lord Shri Krishna are worshiped on the day of Ekadashi. Vrat Katha must be read on the day of worship.
